Care Guide 🔎

For all of our t-shirts, jumpers and hoodies, wash cold (max 30°) and air dry only. For best care do not iron over the prints but instead turn the garments inside out.

This ensures your new hand-designed piece of Ireland will last you a lifetime 💚

Poolbeg Chimneys(Dark Heather Blue)-100% Organic cotton t-shirt

One of our all-time favourites, the Poolbeg Chimneys t-shirt (or Pigeon House as we call it) has a new take on the design and a lick of paint to brighten things up.

Rising high above the Dublin skyline, the Poolbeg Chimneys have become an unmissable part of the city's identity. These twin chimneys belong to the Poolbeg Generating Station, located in the Ringsend area. Standing at over 207 meters tall, they're among the tallest structures in Ireland and can be seen from various parts of Dublin, serving as a navigation landmark for ships and airplanes alike. With one tower built in 1967 and the other in 1977, the chimneys have been inactive since 2010, but their imposing presence continues to captivate locals and visitors, becoming a symbol of Dublin's industrial past and a muse.

Why is it called the Pigeon House?

The area around the Poolbeg Chimneys and Lighthouse is steeped in history, once home to the Pigeon House Fort and later the Pigeon House Hotel. And so locally, people knew it as,"Pigeon House," a term still fondly used by Dubliners today.

When choosing our garments we knew that comfort was the only way to go, We wanted to recreate that feeling of our favourite (old) t-shirt from day 1, and this t-shirt is pretty close to that feel-good feeling.

  • Screen-printed by hand on 100% organic cotton, soft feel t-shirt
  • These t-shirts have a lovely "airy" feel (breathable) while wearing them, and they are super soft on the skin. An all round comfort is a given
