The Samuel Beckett Bridge
So this design was rumbling around in my head for a while. I wanted to do another homage to Dublin, and especially, the way the city has been changing and emerging over the last while. For me the Samuel Beckett Bridge is one of those rare structures where design meets practicality perfectly, and the end result has to be one of the most stunning structures in Dublin today.
The bridge was designed by Spaniard, Santiago Calatrava, and based on the image of the Irish Harp. It has instantly become an iconic sight in the city, and one of Dublins most photographed bridges.
I wanted to keep the design as simple as possible, and as true to the actual bridge itself as I could. In the end, the bridge lent itself perfectly to being on the new t shirt, and it looks even better on fabric than I was expecting
hope you enjoy it!
